baby's first ultrasound! :D

today eric and i went to get our baby's first ultrasound! we were told it would come around mid- end of september (18-24th?) however i feel it will come early. don't ask how i know lol. we know we are having one beautiful, healthy baby, and we are too excited to find out in 6 weeks the sex of the baby!! give me your guesses (boy or a girl) and i'll post to say what percent of ya said a boy and what percent of ya said a girl k?
enjoy the ultrasound pic i posted above! sorry about the quality. it is the best i've got right now haha. yay to upcoming mother (parent-)hood! :D (if you can't view it then that means you will have to view it on facebook or look at someone else's facebook who has facebook because of the way the jpg is. sorry) :/

ps. what do you recommend, a bassinet for the baby when it comes or a crib? i am thinking I am going to be different and just buy a bassinet... what do you think?

You should put a poll up!

Here's my 2 cents on the bed situation... Abby has both a bassinet and a crib. Her bassinet is next to my bed (RIGHT next to it. Totally not into getting out of bed to get her when she is hungry... especially those first 4 weeks when she wanted to eat EVERY 2 hours...) and when she outgrows it, she will move into her crib in her nursery. She's getting close to outgrowing her bassinet already! Basically my opinion is that it is SO nice to have the little baby close when you need to feed often, and it is so nice to have a bigger space for them when they eat less often. (We are down to 1 feeding in the middle of the night, although I know everyone is different.) A nice medium might be a pack and play, if you aren't opposed to them pretty wise. They are even selling some now that have a bassinet attachment, newborn height setting, and bigger baby setting. Totally handy.

I agree, put up a poll. Let me know if you need details on how that's done.

I vote boy.

With Melly we had a fancy bassinet by the bed. This time we decided to go with the port-a-crib with a bassinet attachment also by the bed. It takes up a little more space and is a much less frilly, but otherwise identical to a bassinet.

And when we're on trips we just use it like a bunk bed, Melly on bottom Alex on top. Just kidding, don't call dcfs on me.

Peter is such a dork. He would never do anything like that to or with our kids. It would probably be wise not to believe everything he says.
